VOLUNTEER STAFF TEAMS

FOOD SERVICE

Join our staff as part of the Food Service department! There are needs each session for Lead Cook, Assistant Cooks, Dining Room Leads, and “Kitchen Workers” (kitchen and dining room staff, usually 14-15 years old). The “Kitchen Workers” are our younger staff and enjoy working hard with their peers  as they learn how to serve others for God’s kingdom and continue to enjoy Camp Life with old and new friends!

HOUSEKEEPING

Join our staff as part of the Housekeeping department! Cleaning building common areas, restrooms, and general use buildings.

NOTE: for adults (men and women) who want to serve but who cannot take a week to be at camp, there is a great need for people to come to camp on Saturdays at about 9am to clean the camp for the following session. This usually takes about less than 3 hours and is a great service for camp.

Directors also schedule other partial-day cleaning needs (kitchen, dining room, etc.) during a session and you can be a great help in these tasks as well.

OPERATIONS

Join our staff as part of the Operations department! Many roles are needed to keep a camp running smoothly! And it’s great to have some Skilled Labor for some advanced projects!

Counselors

Join our staff as part of the Counselor team! Be part of the front-line team that is there to engage with the campers, build relationships, and guide their cabin of campers campers in the word of God!

Camp offers a C.I.T Program – a week long program that teaches our future counselors the responsibilities of a Pine Bush Bible Camp Counselors and the art of relating to and leading campers in their week of adventure at camp. CITs also have the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Christ and engage in biblical content and application for their faith.

TEEN WEEK DISCOUNTS

Ages 14-17

Teen Week Campers can earn 5% discounts for every week worked at the other Sessions (up to 30%) to apply to their Teen Week Tuition!

CAMPER DISCOUNTS

18+ & Staff Kids

Staff who have camper-age children or children who are too young for camp are welcome to serve as volunteers. Staff whose children do not fit the session’s age range may not be able to attend if there is not available space. Please check with the session director for details regarding coming to camp with your children.

Adult staff receive a canteen credit for each week of volunteering. Remaining credits stay with the canteen at the end of the week.

ONE WEEK SESSIONS

3PM Sunday - 10AM Saturday

Our ONE WEEK session structure allows for you to easily plan to spend time as a volunteer with us at Pine Bush Bible Camp. Staff should arrive Sundays by 1pm in order to be ready for campers to start arriving at 3pm. Staff coverage goes through Camp Clean Up on Saturday. Returning staff can enjoy a full day away to relax and reset for work at the next session!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

How to get to Pine Bush:

76 Bible Camp Road, Bloomingburg, NY 12721 NJ Rte 17 or Garden State Parkway to the NY Thruway. Drive west/north to Exit 16 (Harriman). Follow below: • Follow Rte 17 West to Exit 119. Take Rte 302 North several miles to the old stone church (down hill, on right) in Thompson Ridge. Turn left, follow road 2.5 miles. Camp sign is on right side of road. • Or, follow Rte 17 West to Exit 116. Make left off exit then first left, Stone Schoolhouse Road. Proceed a few miles to Pine Bush Bible Camp on your left.

Check-In

Camp period begins with dinner at 6pm on date of arrival and ends with breakfast on date of departure. No check-in before 3:00pm on Sunday. Please pick up campers by 10:00am on Saturday

MEDICAL CARE & INSURANCE

A qualified nurse is on hand at all times. Campers must have had a tetanus shot within the last 10 years, and MUST have had their two MEASLES VACCINES. Medical costs are the responsibility of the campers’ parents or legal guardians and can be submitted to your family’s insurance carrier.

YOUTH & KIDS CAMP ( Ages 6-13)

  • Session 5: Youth & Kids Camp: July 28 2024 – August 3 2024 (Ages 6-13)
  • Session 6: Youth & Kids Camp: August 4 2024 – August 10 2024 (Ages 6-13)

TEEN CAMP

  • Session 7: August 11 2024 – August 17 2024

Important Rules

Possession or use of tobacco, alcohol, illegal drugs, CBD Products, Vapes, pornography, firearms, weapons, or controlled or illegal items are prohibited. Physical or verbal threats, vulgarity, and profanity are prohibited. Campers may not use personal computers, music or video devices, or cell phones. Please do not send these items to camp with your camper. If discovered, the adult staff will take possession of the device until the end of the camp period. PBBC is not responsible for the security of these devices. Campers and unauthorized volunteers are not permitted to electronically share or forward video or images from camp. Campers’ luggage may be searched at any time to ensure that prohibited items are not present. Camp rules violators are subject to immediate dismissal and forfeiture of fees.

Pine Bush Bible Camp is permitted to operate by the Orange County Dept. of Health, and is inspected at least twice yearly. Inspection reports are filed at the Orange County Dept. of Health, 124 Main Street, Goshen, NY 10924. Pine Bush Bible Camp is open to all regardless of race, creed, color or national origin.
